Logarma will invest 60 million euros in a tourist complex in Mijas

Adele Golf will have one of the largest courses in Andalusia, a five-star hotel, an equestrian centre and apartments

After the announcement a little over a year ago of the reopening of the historic Hotel Byblos in Mijas, the municipality continues to accumulate new tourism investments of great significance. As SUR has been able to know exclusively, the company Logarma SL plans to invest nearly 60 million in a tourist complex located in the vicinity of La Cala de Mijas on an area of ​​1,078,524 square meters, specifically in the area of ​​Entrerríos .

Under the name of ‘Valle del Golf Resort’, this ambitious initiative has a five-star hotel, one of the largest golf courses in Andalusia and an equestrian center, among other attractions. “The main thing for the people of Mijas, in this case, is the forecast of the 410 jobs that will be generated in addition to the engine that is for the local economy, not only for the consumption of all new visitors, but also because This type of initiatives contribute to the deseasonalization of tourism because golf is a sport that can be practised all year, “the mayor of the city, Juan Carlos Maldonado, told the newspaper.

As consulted municipal sources have learned, this project began a few years ago and its layout has had to be modified several times, the latter being the definitive one. “We have been working from Urbanism from the hand of the promoters so that they could adapt it to our planning. This is a very positive news for Mijas because the access from La Cala to Entrerríos is improved, green zones are created, new roads and leisure facilities that come to add to the quality tourist offer of our city », points out in turn the edil of the area, Andrés Ruiz, who added that among the most relevant factors stands out that a forest area configured by native species is generated in more than 8,000 units.

The initiative is now waiting to be considered of ‘tourist interest’ by the Junta de Andalucía. With regard to the golf course, it will have 18 holes, a school and practice tee. Likewise, the development of the leisure complex that accompanies the golf course will attract tourists as a holiday destination “thanks to the scenic enclave, the facilities and the activities”, stand out from the Consistory.

The Logarma project has a five-star hotel with a total of 156 rooms in 20,413 square meters. The accommodation has planned, among its rooms, a large congress room, a spa center, another training and physiotherapy, a party room, and a regional haute cuisine restaurant, among others.
